All of our poker games follow generally accepted poker rules as documented by Bob Ciaffone's Robert's Rules of Poker. See our Detailed Rules for a description of our Poker Rules.
The links in the navigation area above will take you through a summary of these rules as they pertain to our site or you can begin by clicking the link below.
Texas Hold 'Em
In Texas Hold 'Em, each player receives two down cards (hole or pocket cards), after which there is a round of betting. Three board cards are turned simultaneously (called the “flop”) and another round of betting occurs. The next two board cards (the “turn” and the “river”) are revealed one at a time, with a round of betting after each card. The board cards are community cards, and a player may use any five-card combination from among the board and his or her personal cards. A player may even use all the board cards and no personal cards to form a hand (this is called “playing the board”). A dealer button is used to denote the “dealer”. With the exception of the first round of betting, the dealer is the last to act.
When you play poker at The Gambler Mobile, we always use a two blind structure except in special tournaments where we may require an additional ante.
Minimum Buy In
The minimum buy-in stake at any The Gambler Mobile, fixed-limit ring game is 20 times the big blind amount.
Any amount equal to or over this amount may be used as your stake.
In No-Limit, and Pot-Limit games, your table stake at a poker table must be equal to exactly 50 times the big blind amount.
Disconnection Policy.
If you are connected and do not respond when facing a bet, your hand will be folded. Our software can tell the difference between being disconnected and a player who simply doesn't respond.
If you are disconnected during a ring game, you will be forced to sit out subsequent hands and you will pay no blinds. You will not participate in the game until you are reconnected and have manually reseated yourself. If you missed paying the blinds while disconnected, then you may be subject to pay a big blind and/or a dead small blind in order to sit back in.
If you are disconnected during tournament play, all subsequent hands are automatically folded for as long as you are disconnected, including hands in which a blind, an ante or a bring-in has been paid. When you are reconnected, you must indicate that you are back before playing in a hand.
Timeout Policy
To keep games moving, Internet poker has time limitations, so pay attention to the clock. When it is a player's turn, he or she is given 18 seconds to act. You will receive a warning message when you have 15 seconds to act. If you have been disconnected, but manage to reconnect before the expiration of the timeout, you are granted an additional 10 seconds to act. If you do not act in the allotted time and are still connected, your hand is automatically folded when facing a bet or a raise.
Server/Network Crash During Poker Games
In the unlikely event of a server crash or severe network outage that affects The Gambler Mobile , then any hand in progress is automatically declared a misdeal. As such, all chips in play are returned to the players and the hand is cancelled.
